Select Edition, Pre-Owned Showroom Opens!!!
Bergen Jaguar is pleased to announce the opening of the new Pre-Owned Select Edition showroom to the public. Maybe you browsed pictures of the building before and during construction. Now you can take a tour in person! This edition of Bergen Jaguar's newsletter is dedicated to the New Bergen Jaguar. The change to Bergen Jaguar not only includes the new showroom opening, but also several additions to the sales force.
English style and tradition has always been key to the Jaguar mystique. Bergen Jaguar's new pre-owned showroom reflects many of the same ideals and characteristics that define Jaguar's personality. Designed to resemble a turn-of-the-century lodge, it's a building that one would expect to find on a rolling English countryside. Bergen Jaguar's new showroom certainly is unique to all other dealers.
Natural building materials such as brick, stone, stucco, and wood were all used to create the old-world style of the showroom. Amenities that further contribute to the uniqueness of Bergen's new facilities include a 12 foot long stone fireplace, custom wood paneling, beveled glass French doors, a cathedral ceiling, craftsman style fixtures, Italian porcelain tile, and a custom mural. It is furnished with handsome and comfortable leather couches, and mission style chairs and desks.
The new showroom created display space for approximately 11 pre-owned vehicles, all of which have immediate access to the open road through 6 auto doors. Shoppers don't have to wait but a minute to take their dream pre-owned Jag on a test drive.
Bergen Jaguar's grounds have also been renovated along with the new construction. Hundreds of shrubs and flowers are planted, new grass areas added, trees established, and cobblestone display areas were installed.
Kenneth L. Kaefer, from Franklin Lakes, designed Bergen Jaguar's new facilities. (See his web site at www.cyberwar.com/~kaefer). Taking cues from Jaguar cars, Ken Kaefer embarked on creating an architectural reflection of Jaguar's personality and style. Past designs of Ken Kaefer's architectural practice include Bergen Jaguar's new car showroom remodeling.
Bergen Jaguar welcomes all to tour the newly opened showroom, come see it for yourself! In addition, check out a photo album of the new showroom before, during, and after construction through the link below.

New Additions to
Bergen Jaguar's Sales Force

Gene Centauro: New Car Sales Manager

Gene returned to his home at Bergen Jaguar just after Memorial Day. He has over 10 years experience in sales management and was formerly one of Bergen Jaguar's top salesmen. Gene has a great rapport with his customers and lives just next door in HoHoKus with his two beautiful daughters. You can find Gene in the new car showroom, not to be confused with the newly built pre-owned showroom.

Kate Aldinger: Pre-Owned Sales

Kate joined Bergen Jaguar's sales force in early May. She just recently moved to Bergen County from Cape Cod Massachusetts and has a great accent! Just ask her to say "park the car in Harvard yard." Kate has a strong background in British automobiles; she previously sold Jaguars and Range Rovers. To find Kate just look in the new pre-owned showroom and you'll see her in one of our beautiful new sales offices.

David Donals: Pre-Owned Sales

Dave joined Bergen Jaguar in early May, just about the same time as Kate. Originally from Orlando Florida, Dave now lives in close-by Mahwah, the home of Jaguar's North American Headquarters. Dave has many years' experience in customer relations and an enthusiasm for automobiles, especially vintage cars. Dave can also be found in the new pre-owned showroom, just next door to Kate.

Bergen Jaguar at the
American Cancer Society's Annual Tennis Benefit

The American Cancer Society held their annual tennis benefit on Wednesday, May 20, 1998 at the Brookside Racquet & Swim Club in Allendale, New Jersey. Bergen Jaguar was a sponsor, along with Jaguar Cars, and helped raise, with other sponsoring companies, almost $20,000.00 to fight cancer.
The weather was just beautiful, sunny and warm. A continental breakfast started the day, tennis followed for the morning, and then at 1pm a luncheon, complete with a fashion show, was held on the club's lawn. Altogether, it was a great day for all participants.
Bergen Jaguar offered a weekend getaway in a Jaguar that was offered as a raffle prize. Congratulations to the winner, Irene Nayden from Allendale. Everyone was enthusiastic when Irene won and she's looking forward to spending a few days off with her "dream car".
To find out about future American Cancer Society benefits call Lynn Labanich at (201) 343-2222. Volunteer your time, sponsor your business, or just support their efforts by going to some great events. They do a great job raising money to fight cancer.

Truly Unique!

The NEW Mural
A mural, specially painted for the new showroom at Bergen Jaguar, adorns the front entrance of the new pre-owned showroom. The new mural captures a moment in history. A scene captured by photographers in the early 50s of Clark Gable in front of his gleaming XK120. It completes the new showroom's setting well. It helps convey the rich history of Jaguar in a fun way. Plus, the new mural perpetuates the flavor that is unique to the Bergen Jaguar experience.

Bergen Jaguar Sponsors Paramus Boy Scout Troop 138
No sensible Englishman would be caught in the rain without an umbrella, and Bergen Jaguar believes a Boy Scout should never be caught without a tent. The Paramus Boy Scout Troop 138 has experienced a lot of growth in their ranks lately and recently canvassed Paramus businesses asking for their help in raising money to buy tents and camping supplies. Bergen Jaguar is proud to be a sponsor and welcomes others to do the same. Give Jim Reid a call at 201-845-6540 and ask how your company can sponsor the troop as well. Your business could be included with Bergen Jaguar on the Boy Scout's banner in this year's 4th of July's Parade!
