OH BABY!

"...With the X-Type, the Brits go toe-to-toe in this junior sport-luxury class against such proven competition as Germany's BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4 and Japan's Lexus IS 300.
Although the X-Type has been referred to as the "baby Jag" and as something new and different from Jaguar, it is not. At 183.9 in. long, 54.8 in. high and 70.4 in. wide, it is a bit longer, lower and wider than a Jaguar sedan icon, the Mark II, which was built between 1959-1967... All-wheel drive is standard, as Jaguar didn't want to funnel as much as 231 bhp through the front wheels with the resultant power-on steering fuss. Besides, as a late arrival to the sport-luxury small-car party, Jaguar felt it needed to bring something extra, and all-wheel drive is a good star.."

Look at this baby will you! Is she a beauty or what? (By the way, that's where I was forced to park when I came into the office here at Bergen Jaguar. Something about keeping me out of sight.) -editor

"CARkeys - the UK's first internet motoring magazine updated daily with news, road tests, car launches, features, columns and motorsport."

Take a quick hop across 'the pond' and check out this site. It's really cool, especially when you see the prices listed in English currency. OK, so I'm easily amused. But you don't have to be an Anglophile like me to get a kick out of reading a British publication. Just remember lorries are trucks, lifts are elevators and so on and you'll be all right. They have an interesting road test of the new... you guessed it: X-Type 3.0 Sport. Check it out at http://www.carkeys.co.uk/roadtest/RT000139.htm

When my dear friend Dennis, who happens to be the owner of this lovely establishment, approached me to edit the Bergen Jaguar Newsletter, naturally I was flattered… and a little apprehensive. I mean, what did I know about cars? Not to mention Jaguars. Well, Dennis is an understanding sort in an understated sort of way and although when it comes to cars he is a little auto-retentive, I decided nonetheless to give it a shot.
Now, about the hours, would I work the day shift from nine to five? Or maybe evenings from four to midnight. Oh I know… I'll work the shtick shift!
