Helping Jaguar to celebrate its entry into Formula 1 is a limited edition run of supercharged XKR Silverstones for the 2001 model year. The XKR Silverstone name pays tribute to the famous British racing circuit where Jags have won twenty times. This one-time limited production comes in Platinum silver with a Charcoal black sports interior and the full range of R performance options as standard. All cars have 20-inch BBS alloy wheels, ultra low profile tires and high performance Brembo brakes. The Silverstone coupe will also benefit from the SVO-developed 'R' Performance Handling Pack.
Each car carries 'Jaguar Silverstone' bonnet and boot badges, showing the Jaguar 'Growler' head on a black background surrounded by a silver band. The door treadplates also carry the 'Silverstone' inscription. The interior features sports seats and a steering wheel trimmed in Charcoal leather with red stitching. The 'smoke' stained bird's-eye maple wood veneer has the 'Silverstone' identity subtly highlighted on the passenger side. All cars are equipped with a premium Alpine sound system and a six-disc CD changer system.
